Random Generator gave me Inner-Flame Acolyte and Anti-Magic Aura. I can't see why red creatures wouldn't have protection from enchantments. I know they shouldn't be destroying enchantents, but they hate white, and don't like to be Pacify-ed. I had to compromise with this card using another color to get its evoke to work, though. It turns out that "Channel" is yet another useless word in Magic that stifles future designers because, since the word exists, the mechanic must be tied to Kamigawa in some way.
The name "Channel" is pretty flavour-neutral, though. I wouldn't say it's "tied to Kamigawa" in any meaningful sense.
No, I wouldn't either. I'm sure they recognized how open-ended that ability was and they gave it an open ended name (though, the evidently couldn't stop but put their thumb in the pie for "Bushido").
