Fly my pretties! Or... slog through the mud! That's fine too. Stupid monkeys.
As much as I genuinely think your comment is pretty funny (I chuckled audibly), it hinges on the rider having been “controls a swamp”. Sadly, I’m changing the rider for now, but I wanted to preserve the value of your joke.
I feel you are too mechanical in your designs - and they feel forced.
This type of card design reminiscent of Viscerid Drone's in a bad way.
I’ll admit I’m not happy with the current design, but I don’t know that it’s any more complex than a “charm”. Granted, those are typically uncommon.
Instant speed doesn't make any sense with the second mode.
This card is pretty awkward. How about : ?

Sorcery
> Target creature gains flying UEOT. If it's black, it can't be blocked this turn instead.

Or maybe

Sorcery
> Choose target creature. Until end of turn, it gains flying if it's blue and menace if it's black.
> Draw a card.
Like a spin on Helm of the Ghastlord and friends. Maybe at that point you could try out other keywords, like deathtouch instead of menace and then make it an instant. This would also be a potential cycle btw - one that's very easy to implement.
I opened up an extra common slot in each color, so I’m able to split up some effects here and there that I was trying to cram into single slots. This is one of those places.
There’s already a cycle of 2-part 1CMC instants in place, so ideally this card fits into that cycle. I can definitely make it more internally cohesive though.
Two-phase Twiddle?
Oona's Twiddling? :P
Sure, looks okay to me.
Btw, if we're going with default formating, that "choose one" should be followed by a long dash - not a colon.
> Choose one or both —

Borrowed Grace for example.
Pretty helpful, thank you!
