Why is this so pushed? I don't think we've ever seen a vanilla 3/3 for {r}{r} - not to mention one with a significant upside.

I like the card. Discarding your hand is a harsh drawback in most circumstances so I think this could be fine if it had a mana cost of {1}{r} or if it had +1/+1 to its stats.
