That's quite {b}. Sanguine Bond is my first association. Second would be the white phyrexian dudes, but you know - new phyrexia was all about black spreading to other colors. I guess third would be extort of orzhov since the ability did appear in mono-{w} cards such as Syndic of Tithes. That was obviously related to it being a {w/b} faction. This card on the hand, feels out of place since I don't see any other white cards going for this kind of bending in this set.

Well, it's a way to make gaining life relevant.

It'll be annoying to play against though.

Yeah, I know it looks weird, but white is the lifegain color in this set, and I don't want to broaden black, so I'm going to keep it as-is.

Why isn't this a Cleric.

If this is the pay-off of all the glued on life gain at common is, then maybe not having the life gain theme would be better. White is full of options and right now the life gain theme feels really forced.

Why can't the effect be something in-color e. g. Ajani's Pridemate or Serene Steward? Even 1/1 tokens and global/temporary pump.
