Which makes a better white rare: this or Holy Army of the Church? I was also considering adding "...and you gain 1 life." to Holy Army.

This feels rather red.

You're right, it does. But as red, should I cut the bit about "you or a planeswalker you control"? The defensive part was the reason I had made it white.

now red, used to be white

Would this card have the same functionality if I changed it to "Whenever a creature attacks you or a planeswalker you control, it fights another attacking creature of its controller's choice."?

Not quite, it may be easier to leave it as is. The fight template imlpies the damage is always reciprocol, whereas it should probably be ok for the attacking player to do all the damage to one attacking creature they can afford to lose.

(Interesting ability, btw!)

That makes sense. Thanks.
