If I ever change the name, it will lose Ally as creature type might as well meet expectations even when they don't matter.

­Yeva's Forcemage that does a mediocre impression of Briarpack Alpha.

Random passerby here, but something feels distinctly wrong about having Ally on a creature that isn't from Zendikar. Not sure for how many others this may break suspension of disbelief as well.

That's the rub, though - given the name, I think people would expect the ally type, but given the set, it might feel out of place to have one randomly.
