Mudbutton Torchrunner meet Phyrexian Scuta. Now we know what happens when a Torchrunner becomes compleated. Even though Phyrexian Scuta was designed in the 90s, I gave it 21st century Phyrexian sensibilities. Old design is one thing, but the old flavor doesn't seem right.

you would almost alays kick this. Why not make kicker cost put two -1/-1 counters on this & if kicked deals 3 damage to target creature AND 3 damage to target player.

Or even better Multikicker: Put a -1/-1 counter on this. This deals 3 damage to X target creatures and/or players where X is the number of times it was kicked. Make Cost {4}{pr}{pb} and make it a rare and that's an awesomely flavourful compleated goblin

Hmm.. I'm a little confused at what you're getting at Camruth, and I think you have my ability backwards. This is normally a 5/5, but could be kicked to be a 3/3 that enters the battlefield and deals 3 damage to target creature or player. Seems to me that both options are good ideas in certain situations.

While the Multi-Kicker suggestion is fair, I know that many of these cards are going to end up rather complex, so I'm trying keep complexity down where I can. Same with the mana cost... I'm already stretching to make this card 'compleat'. Adding {pb} to the cost makes players have to think about even more things. I know, its silly worrying about such small details, but I fear that they're going to add up quick. I would like to see this set drafted, and I know that on day one, I'm going to hear a lot of groans when people realize they're going to need to read more than usual...

This is a nifty card indeed. And I love how the "pay life" cost on Phyrexian Scuta is incorporated into this in the subtlest possible way, by using one different mana symbol at the top-right... :)

Haha! Good eye!
