Deflection! I'm going to change the each of each spell with a single each!
Also Aphetto Dredging, Aerial Volley, Aegis Automaton, Arc Trail, Blood Feud, Carom, Captured by the Consulate...
Yeah, sadly this is why there was no card that granted Overload to arbitrary instants or sorceries. It's also the reason why "Splice onto sorcery" is basically doomed - because you could try to splice something targeted onto Mizzium Mortars and then change it to say "each" instead. Overload is a mechanic that only barely manages to work (it doesn't work at all in several foreign languages), and granting it to arbitrary spells is unfortunately doomed.
UEOT, spells you cast which target may target every (legal) target, rather than a single one.
Um. No. That's not how things are phrased in the Comp Rules. For starters, spells don't target (v), they have a target (n).
Fine; how about "UEOT, when selecting a target for a spell; you may instead select every legal target"
It's definitely got problems, I'll think on it. Thanks for thinking along with me! :D
I like the start of using 'with a single target' to help cut down on the instances where it goes off the reservation of sense with multiple target descriptors/discriminators. and it should be instants/sorceries you cast-- good point. Gonna change it up and get some more discussion. :D
