Hmmm, I don't really like this that when you cast it doesn't feel like a multicolored card.

Unfortunately hybrid doesn't seem to be a thing in this set. This hybrid design is also a weird of a design in that encourages you to not play multicolored.

Why does this reward you to not play multicolour?

Discounting the slightly harder mana requirements, it a split card that can be either Tormenting Voice or Sign in Blood, with the player being able to choose the better mode.

Your hybrid design would just give you both drawbacks punishing it in multicolour and making it busted in red by not making the discard an additional cost.

I was talking about the hybrid design punishing multicolor, but I went with "whatever" since I realized the original multicolor design was just better and there wasn't really anything wrong with it.

The hybrid design wouldn't be that "busted" -> see Dangerous Wager.
