face down lands would tap for colourless, correct? if so, i wonder if combining it with a CC card will create interesting tension or frustrating gameplay.

face downs tap for {c}, but you'll be able to turn them face up for a cost (thinking {2} atm)

yeah i have no idea how ecocide will play, don't think there's an existing mechanic that can serve as an indication. hopefully well, i really like it from a flavor perspective

At least you only turn the cards face down after paying the cost. So you could tap two Swamps and a Wastes to cast this, then turn the Swamp face-down (or even better, turn the Wastes face-down!)
