Heh, you know Nantuko Elder has been errataed to add {c}{g} now?

This reminds me of the ki counter flip cards from Betrayers of Kamigawa, like Callow Jushi. The front side makes counters, the back side uses them up, and there's no way to switch back. But Callow Jushi and friends allowed you to wait to transform them until you needed the ability. I suggest you might want to do the same.

In fact you could combine the two abilities: "Whenever landfall, put a growth counter on ~. Then, if ~ has two or more growth counters, you may transform it."

agreed, but my original plan was to save that for uncommon and make the commons transform at fixed levels

also i didn't know that about elder, haven't paid any attention to BFZ/OATG. is that true for all colorless costs?

Sort of. It's really just "visual" errata, since "Add {1}" only ever really meant "Add {c}." It just so happens that {c} now has a separate symbol from the generic mana symbols that are now only used in costs.

As far as I'm aware, there were no colorless costs prior to Oath. Anything that adds colorless mana to your pool now uses {c}.

ah alright, thanks for the clarification

might leave it looking as-is for now just because i prefer it, will probably change as i get used to the newer sets
