Just because this mechanic is basically kicker doesn't mean we can kick these spells!

See Insidious Transaction. Life-loss is an easy 'game-plan' on Research cards but it's also not something we want to do too much.
Terrible Fate seems different than Transaction as you usually will want to pay the extra mana for the life drain rather than paying the extra mana to scry an opponent. It will come up which is strange, but still.
CasualR, I think you're misremembering what Transaction does? It doesn't involve scrying.

Considering this for CB16. Currently, Harvest Soul and (((Controversial Experiment))) both use Canisters, which we simply don't have the room for in black.
