Interesting. Oddly, I would expect to see this in blue, but it does make sense in red.

The same, minus the Dwarf clause, you had to have an artifact.

Should colorless sources now add colorless not generic mana on a regular basis?

Nothing ever added generic mana. That's why the change was made: to clarify that confusion. For example, Sol Ring's Oracle text will now show that it adds {c}{c} to your mana pool.
Any time an ability would add mana with no color to your pool, it will now be shown to add {c}.
Effects that reduce the mana you spend will still display that reduction using numbered generic mana symbols.
