Blue discard in common? Isn't that ridiculously good (not to mention pie-breaking)?

Rephrase my question: REPEATED blue discard at common? Even in black you don't get specter effects at common!

None of these cards are good examples. Serum Raker is from a "bleed black into everything else" block, Minamo's Meddling is the only option for anti-splice counter effects and Frightful Delusions was from a graveyard set.
