But black doesn't destroy artifacts or enchantments.
But colorless cards do: Spine of Ish Sah, Argentum Armor, Engineered Explosives, Lux Cannon, Perilous Vault, Plague Boiler, Ratchet Bomb, Ugin... What, do I need to make it only if no was spent to cast it? Not that I mind making it a fully colorless card either.
Also black most definitely destroy lands: Spiteful Blow, Brink of Disaster, Destroy the Evidence, Polluted Dead, Maw of the Mire, Desecrated Earth... Though I did actually meant for the card to say "target colored permanent". I assume you meant enchantments?
was meant ot be colored only
I meant "enchantments. I'm not sure why I typed "lands" before.
Generally though I'm still happy with this design because the card remains colorless as opposed to monoblack, and more important, I'm not making it any easier for a monoblack deck to destroy these permanents than it would already be.
Well, if Flame Javelin & co. are fair, then I would suppose this is. Though, I must admit, it does mess with the head.
If anything this debate tells me the card would make for a nice splashy myhtic.
demons don't NEED to have flying, and that makes me feel better about going to 5/5
I agree with Link. I'd be fine with this at for mythic, but not for . In the same way that I'd be fine with Disrupting Scepter, but not with one that cost or to cast. Yes, white decks can use Disrupting Scepter to get discard, but that doesn't mean there should be a white card that makes people discard. In the same way, yes, black decks can use colourless cards to get to shoot permanents, but there shouldn't be a black card that does it.
This card complicates matters slightly more by having the anti-colour-indicator. But still, I'd be much happier with this line of rules text on a card costing than one costing .
(Perhaps alternatively or would be okay as well. Haven't considered those options in detail.)
okay fine.
