Reduced cost by {1} and upped stats by 1.

If I attach this to a creature I don't own or control, then destroy the equipped creature, can I put their card into the command zone? Clearly if I can, it won't be my commander any more (or any other player's), and nothing will give me permission to replay it, but it's something that needs to be considered when you start messing around with the designation "is your commander".

Yeah, that's pretty problematic. I really just wanted the equipped creature to deal your commander damage. I've been trying to come up with a line that allows that, though somewhat unsuccessfully. It might not be worth it.

Another attempt to reword the damage ability.

Instant speed equip seems really, really good on a commander equipment.

It's meant to be really good. Did I go too far? I've always been frank about my poor power-level assessment capabilities.

Unblockable commander damage is probably too good. This is a really powerful equipment anyway. I'd gladly run it even if it wasn't a commander and was at sorcery speed.

I don't like throwing in first strike and deathtouch just for the fun of it. That's a really, really potent combination, and any equipment granting both would be playable pretty much regardless of what else it said.

I think the combination being on here rather detracts from the other very cool things this card does.

Oh, hmm. I just thought it was neat that each ability was in two of the colors. This might actually make more mechanical sense as a {r}{w}{u} commander with different abilities, since those are the colors that care about artifacts and equipment the most and would probably benefit more from the basic idea here.

Previously "Whispering Scythe", {b}{g}{w}, +2/+2, and deathtouch instead of flying.
