A slight improvement on Encrust, but not significantly. Makes it easier to splash blue, which I want in this set where blue is split between two factions.

I don't know whether it's good or not that there are rather natural concepts from the series mapping onto all these staple Magic effects. On the one hand it means my set gets all the staple effects, which is good. On the other hand it means iconic things from the series don't get their own standout effects...

Actually, if the Prediction / planning mechanic ends up usable on Auras, this would be a great one for it. Practically every time this is used in the series it catches people by surprise due to being prepared secretly in advance. This could be great with something like...

> Prepare {1}{u} (You may exile this face down for {2} as a sorcery. If you do, on future turns you may cast it from exile for its prepare cost as if it had flash.)

If I give it a way to grant flash, I'd probably want to add "prevent all damage that enchanted permanent would deal". That's much more unusual for blue, sadly, but I could claim to be following Gaseous Form's precedent. I could move this into white instead, but the Black Knights make rather more use of Gefjun Disturbers in the series than Britannia do, so I'd prefer to leave it in a Black Knight-accessible colour if possible.

Should this be "non-land"? (Or even just creature, or creature or artifact?)

You're right, this would be lovely with prepare, it would be clear what it does, but it could be a lot more valuable if used as a surprise.

Maybe blue prevent all damage would be "-5/-0 and doesn't untap"?

Ah yes, that's a much bluer take on damage prevention. (Doesn't work on Gawain IFX-V301, but we can't have everything.) Great suggestion - thanks.

And oops, yes, this should definitely say "nonland"! It probably could just be "creature or artifact", in fact, like Encrust. I was wanting to fudge away from that slightly because in the series it doesn't neutralise creatures, only Knightmares and Sakuradite-powered technology (i.e. artifacts), but that's too narrow for a Magic card...

nonland. not decided whether should just be "creature or artifact"

I think "creature or artifact" hits the flavour better than permanent FWIW, but I'm not completely certain.

Hm. This is a bit like the mecha-only version simply because you'll usually play it on your opponent's largest creature. But it might be possible to make a narrower version that felt more like the series, say "enchanted or equipped creature" or "creature with power 4 or more"?

aha! here's a way to use it in combat. add ETB trigger and increase cost.

bah. Prepare is too wordy. just use flash.

Probably superseded by Gefjun Disturber.
