Wasn't there something like this that put such a token on each creature, not much more expensively?
Mmm... yes, Rite of Passage, that's the one. Technically this can pump up something that's not the one that took damage - say you've got a 1/1 unblockable and some other 2/4 vigilant things that keep bouncing off opposing blockers, you can pump up the evasive creature with this. I'd probably still normally rather have Rite of Passage though.
Oh, I didn't know that card at all. I guess, this could be two counters, or maybe even more. I have no idea how easy it would be to trigger this, so I played safe.
Hopefully the idea is interesting enough to spawn more cards that aren't boring compared to an existing rare. :P
