Okay, so if someone plays Shock targeting my Memnite, the Shock targets this? What?

Also, you can keep paying 0, so in the end there is no choice (except the choice for you to mill your own library for as many cards as you want if that's what you like to do).

You're right. I have reworded the card so that targetting doesn't change. Rather, the spell/ability is automatically countered unless its controller puts the top 5 cards of their library into their graveyard. Thanks, I new it needed work.
