A take on Terramorphic Expanse/Evolving Wilds. It doesn't require shuffling which is a plus, and since you can't (usually) control exactly which land you get, I think it entering the battlefield untapped is okay? It is a little wordier than I thought it would be.
What would prevent you from playing four of these in a mono-red deck, for example? This card might just let you play with a 56 card deck...
But Terramorphic Expanse already does that. Oh, wait, this doesn't put it into play tapped. Fix that, and this is then just a plain cleaner implementation.
The problem is that it doesn't actually mana fix because you don't have control over what land you're getting; if the land enters the battlefield tapped, it's pretty much strictly worse than TE/EW.
What if the land entered the battlefield tapped, but it could also fetch non basics?
Yeah, that sounds like the sensible fix. Similar to Satyr Wayfinder.
