Compare to Ajani's Sunstriker. {w} to {2} is usually reasonable and changing it from a 2/2 to a 1/1 with flash also seems even. I think it's fine.

But a 1/1 with flash costs {w} - Zealous Guardian - and a 1/1 with lifelink also costs {w} - Nip Gwyllion. Combining both to get {2}{w} seems bad to me.

If this was deathtouch, it would make sense. But "Surprise! I gain one life!" doesn't have that same kick, neh?
