How random.
I'd suggest making this "Has protection from creatures with power 5 or more" but this way works too.
As I understand it, that would actually change the functionality. Protection from power 5+ means the Tracker could also not be targeted by abilities on a 5+ power creature, or blocked by one.
(For example if my own Ghave, Guru of Spores were power 5 or greater, Behemoth Tracker could not be the target of Ghave's ability to give a creature a +1/+1 counter.)
Yes, it does indeed make it a bit more potent; but not hugely so - most creatures with high power don't tend to want to tap to do things to a 1/2 creature; they've got better things to do. And would usually be happy for this to be tapped, dealing its one damage, in exchange for being able to charge past it.
Still, it is a difference, you're right.
