Again, sacrificing a creature isn't a white mechanic. If you take that clause off and make him a 1/3 instead of a 3/1 it will work a lot better. As a 3/1, it'll be hard to decide whether to attack with it or to use the ability. As a 1/3 it features the ability much better.

That's not very much more white, when you're doing it to your own creatures. I also agree that giving a nice tap ability to a 3/1 flyer is going to lead to frustration for your players.

Changed it to gating and added {1} . It will often still be very alike to sac most times though.
