Mm. Oddly, less powerful than War Report, which allows you to gain 2 life for each artifact creature you control. Oh, and it's an instant, but I don't think that part is really necessary.

actually living weapons and living auras can also be worth 2 life. hence this variation. surprised it hasn't been printed yet. but it does have more subtle interaction than most sets, without being so obvious and wordy as war report.

Yeah, but on a common that wordiness is needed to point out the interaction. Which I think this wordiness actually carefully avoids.

I'm guessing, then, that Asset Management doesn't do what you want it to do right now, amuseum. War Report is wordy for a reason:

"You gain life equal to the number of creatures on the battlefield plus the number of artifacts on the battlefield."

That's what gives you two life for artifact creatures. Asset Management only gives you one life per 'artifact creature' or 'enchantment artifact'. It's just counting the number of permanents and checking its type line to make sure it matches.

i think you're misunderstanding how living weapons and living auras work. when they enter the battlefield, you get an extra creature token. so the creature token and the equipment/aura count as 2 permanents, thus 2 life.

you're right that permanents with 2 or more types still only give 1 life.
