Random generator gave me Stasis Cocoon and Archangel. I admit, it's a long way to go for a Pithing Needle effect. I guess I just like the concept of pairing. Wizards never developed enemy pairing, and I know there's got to be something there. Like a flying creature that removes flying from itself and its pair...

Hm. Nifty. Reminds me of Aegis Angel or Phylactery Lich, but in another way it's more like Leonin Relic-Warder.

I agree there's great potential in enemy pairing. You could have a cycle of creatures that require a "nemesis" (a creature on the opponent's board), and are only fearsome if their nemesis is still alive. All sorts of things you could do along those kind of lines.
