Ooooh... nice idea for semi-targeted discard.
But forcing a discard of two cards on turn 2 is game winning; I'll willing pay 4 life for that. (And do it again on turn 3 to be certain)
Cost it up by one and I've no quibble. Very nice idea.
Would you ever choose anything except "Tribal" and "Planeswalker"?
Adding 1 to the cost just gives you Mind Rot, with no need for random mostly-irrelevant riders.
Never mind Tribal and Planeswalker - I'm choosing Scheme and Plane. They're still card types, even if cards of that type can't be in your hand.
Reminds me of Gerrard's Verdict, which also shows the difference that gold makes in whether a 2-mana 2-card-discard spell needs a benefit or a drawback.
But ye're not thinking black enough. This is a "Bargain with me" card.
I choose creature. Do I want you to avoid discarding creatures, because I'm holding onto Murder? Or do I want to tempt you into discarding creatures, and hurting me, because I'm not?
But, yeah, I guess you need to explicitly list the sensible card types.
ugh, yeah. I keep forgetting there are more types than that... Edited to mention types.
