Random Generator gave me Crippling Blight and Spire Golem. I'm still looking for my set's Legendary Blue land, and I got this... which I like... but there just isn't enough of the Spire Golem in there for this to be legit, so I'm sending it to the workshop. (I did think of making the mana activation some sort of Affinity for Islands dohickey... but that card would have a serious identity crisis.)
Honestly, though, I'd enjoy the idea of a cycle of these. I'm sure the Tammys wouldn't be impressed, though. Ah well.
You know what, let's just add the 'affinity for Islands' to the card. If I'm not going to use it, I might as well not use it for the right reasons, eh?
I think that first ability is interesting enough on its own.
I agree with Alex. Though if you remove the second ability, Crippling Blight contributes nothing.
