would've loved to call it "entomb", though.
Curiously similar to Utopia Vow. I do love this, but it's very strong, given that it removes all preexisting rules text and types. It's like Path to Exile meets Vindicate. I fear it might need to be 4 mana. It's awesome, though.
"It's like Path to Exile meets Vindicate."
LOL.
Surely it's Oblivion Ring but giving a plains as recompense?
I don't know, Alex. It looks fair to me. The only real difference between this and O-Ring is it can hit lands... and all it does there is become a white Evil Presence.
Hm. I hadn't thought of the O-Ring comparison. Good point. I guess O-Ring is just really good :) I had been neglecting the way this is reversible. This is probably fine then.
Actually I was comparing it to Arrest myself, and it can't be called "strictly better" than it (whether it is strictly worse enough to justify the lower cost is somewhat open to debate I admit).
Thing is it's not just Arrest, it applies to every kind of permanent (including Planeswalkers), like Faith's Fetters; and it also shuts off triggered and static abilities unlike either of those. It's more universal an answer than pretty much anything except O-Ring (and it'll even shut down a Mutavault or Kessig Wolf Run to boot, which O-Ring won't). But it does have the token "oh, you can have a Plains" to make up for it; and unlike Path to Exile, it remains in white's colour pie by being reversible (when this enchantment is destroyed).
I think this is very, very good for . But that's fine; O-Ring is very, very good as well.
I misremembered Arrest The card I was vaguely hoping to toy with was Protective Custody from Archester. Maybe I,d up it back to in an actual set, but I'll elave it as is as a singleton
