Random generator gave me Gravespawn Sovereign and Necropotence. And I need to force black commons. Unfortunately, this isn't getting there, so I'm moving it over to the work bench to make something completely different later for another set.
What I really wanted was something akin to "Tap five untapped creatures you control: Draw a card. When paying for this ability's cost, you may tap one less creature for every 1 life you pay." It's a simple enough idea, but it gets all messy when you try to explain it through magic-ese. It's especially not common.
At one point, I shrugged and got rid of the life loss altogether. Nice and clean. And suddenly the card turned green.
