Enemy color-theme with token colors. I'm moving slowblink from blue to red.
Move Theory's token making to Heaven.
typoe (you -> your)
Practice isn't currently one of red's abilities. White then blue get it.
As I said in the comment, I'm making it secondary in red rather than blue.
It's woefully underused in blue (4 cards since Planar Chaos' Frenetic Sliver, and several of those aren't even monoblue), probably on account of being too similar (and usually less powerful) than bounce.
I think it serves well to expand red's bag of trick, plus red has also dipped its toes in it with Ignorant Bliss (a pertinent reprint for an exile triggers set) and Norin the Wary.
I can buy flickering in red, but not at instant speed, where it will most likely be used to save your creatures... which isn't very red at all. But if this card was a sorcery? Yeah, I can squint and see it. I don't think I agree with it, but I can readily accept it.
why is red stealing everyone's pie
Well, red gets to steal stuff nowadays. And Orcs are red, and have pie.. I can kinda see it :)
Because red is boring, amuseum.
"where it will most likely be used to save your creatures... which isn't very red at all." Well, isn't it high time we started to see the positive side of red's emotions?
On the aggressive side, it's red going "I want this gone NOW. I don't care if it comes back as long as it gets out of my way." (In white it's "gentle" removal, but I'm not entirely sure what the flavor is supposed to be in blue so that it's different from bounce.)
downgraded Theory: prob. too powerful for a Delve set. Made Practice more flavorful in a "plans gone awry" way, yet not irrelevant.
Yuck @ the current Practice. Envying Wild Guess is a bad place to be.
Even as a delve enabler, you're probably right. discard 2, draw 2 is probably acceptable at uncommon?
Well, it was fine at common on Faithless Looting. It's unexciting at uncommon, but a useful spell, certainly.
If Practice drew two, it would be unacceptable, I think. As is it seems fine.
Why, L2i0n0k7? As Alex points out, it makes a fine common.
I was looking for a vaguely udnerwhelming effect on account of a comment I got elsewhere that this particular split card should REALLY reflect it's nature, with the "practice" representing a plan going awry.
Because this is the backward version of Faithless Looting, which I believe Maro said red is not generally allowed to have.
Faithless Looting is off-limits now for red due to its order (more's the pity), but I don't recall a prohibition on discard-2-draw-2 for red. I believe Wild Guess is still permitted, and this seems equivalent to/worse than that.
fix theory, practice now only discard one.
