This is my cycle of Rare Lands: Meadowmere Tor, Sludgeflow Thicket, Underbrush Bog & Wildfire Rivulet. They each generate their normal colour of mana or they can generate either enemy colour mana as a painland. Are they OK, bad, or broken ???
They're extremely good, and development might tweak the cost to 2 life. But they're probably not quite broken. Interesting design. I particularly like the idea of an enemy-tri-colour land; so far Murmuring Bosk is the only one.
Thanks, I used Murmuring Bosk as a guidepost for creating these. I figured losing 1 life to play & 1 life for enemy mana would be OK. Design could well make it a 2 life cost on etb.
The last ability would probably be phrased as "
, Pay 1 life:" as on Horizon Canopy.
Nice. Very useful, and who doesn't love pain-lands?
The question is, is this too much better than Sulfurous Springs? I think it probably is too good unless the ETB cost is 2 life.
I will see how they go in testing and keep etb 2 life in mind. Also you are right about the rewording. This way you pay the life before you get the mana, which is better.
