Kinda blah as a mythic, drop it to rare and maybe make it Legendary? If you want it to stay at Mythic it needs something to spice it up and make it memorable.

Any suggestions? I still want it in the 'Powerstone' family, perhaps they all share similiar drawbacks or something. But I don't want a Mox or Lotus.

Maybe add "{t}: Instead of paying the regular activation cost of target artifact, That cost is considered paid." as an extra ability ?? Seeing as it's a powerstone it should be able to power just about anything.

Nice idea, I'll use it.

Heh. Sadly I don't think you can target an activation cost :3 I think this needs to be worded as "The next time an activated ability of target permanent (/card) is activated this turn, it costs {0} rather than its normal cost", or something vaguely like that.

Thanks for the wording. Also, is the wubrg activated ability too powerful, not powerful enough, or does it just not fit? Or does it need two activated abilities? Suggestions for what can make Pristine Powerstone feel mythic.

With the first ability alone, it absolutely crushes Gilded Lotus. It's also possible to use the second ability to keep activating itself for {0} instead of {t}, but ultimately it doesn't accomplish much besides wasting everyone's time.

Change second ability to "{0}:The next time.....instead. Activate this ability only once each turn." to avoid possibility of endless repetition. This would also let you use the replacement cost every turn - yours & your opponents which is truly Mythic.

As to first ability, it is way powerful. Could go "{t}: Add 3 mana of any colour to your mana pool." and add an ability between 1 & 2:

"{t},Exile Pristine Powerstone: Add {w}{u}{b}{r}{g} to your mana pool." (or sacrifice).

Thanks for the suggestions.

It's still a much better Gilded Lotus since you can use the second ability to activate the first for {0} instead of {t} and sacrifice. Since the cost replacement doesn't cost {t} anymore, you can take just 5 mana and run it into this, power its own mana ability into Door to Nothingness (disregarding colors entirely), and set off the bomb during the next upkeep. Sure beats 15 and a turn cycle.

easy solution, give it shroud, then it can't target itself. Or reword it to only replace the Mana portion of an activation cost.

"The next time mana would be paid for an activation cost, instead pay {0}."

Hopefully, this is finally proper and not completely broken but still good.

The "only once per turn" is pointless now that you can't bypass the {t} in the cost, but by saying "mana cost", now it pays for spells (like Progenitus) in their entirety.

That was the intention. Progenitus, Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, Godsire, etc. I'd say that feels pretty Mythic.

And the once per turn still applies because if someone had a Voltaic Key, then it would be completely ridiculous (as if it wasn't already.)

I like this as a mythic design :) It's not that much crazier than Maelstrom Archangel or Fist of Suns...

Thanks. It's good someone thinks it is cool.

I like the current version. Feels really Mythic now.
