ITYM "Traverse" ("Transverse" is an adjective, meaning "crosswise, across").
That said, this looks rather cute. Granted, Blue doesn't often get return-from-GY stuff except Instant and Sorceries; but I could see it getting Islands with a little help from green.
'up to one'? Otherwise, this is going to be a very hard spell to fulfill.
Embarrassing mistake.
I didn't make it "up to one" because of power level concerns. Returning instants and sorceries usually costs upwards of three mana on its own, as seen on Call to Mind. The other things can all be retrieved for as little as one mana. So, as on Pyroshear, I intended the number of targets (and in this case, variety of targets) as a drawback.
I note that green and blue both self-mill from time to time. Green has a variety of Beast Hunt, Genesis Wave, Gamekeeper etc effects; and blue obviously mills anyone (Traumatize is pointed at the controller more often than other players, I'd guess).
I like it. It's the Decimate or Hex approach to cheap utility.
I dislike costs like

though; why not just make it

? Even in a two-colour deck, it doesn't take much mana screw to make it hard for you to cast this.
I think I wound up with this cost because it was originally (2g)(2g)(2u)(2u). (2)(g)(u) is probably acceptable, though.
