I'm always up for making it easier for people to get data in/out of Multiverse. Could you email me your txt file so I can see the format it follows? (alex.churchill@cantab.net)

I would like to join this community, but I'd rather not have to import by hand from MSE; is this issue being looked into? MSE can Export HTML, Apprentice and MagicWorkstation. I'm sure the HTML would be easy to import into this website?

Welcome!

I don't have an example export file from MSE, so if you have one you can easily send me (either HTML, TXT, or both), that would help me add the feature.

Multiverse does have an Import Data feature, but at the moment it only imports from CSV. (For example, here's the import page for the Testing cardset.) I'd be happy to add more import formats. (There have also been some occasional problems with the Import screen; if you see any problems, do let me know.)

Would really love this feature implemented. Do you still need an example MSE export?

Doombringer mentioned over on Bugs importing from CSV that he's written an MSE Export template that allows you to turn your MSE file into a format that Multiverse can import. I'll be linking that template from the Import Data page.

It ought to be possible for me to make it easier to export from Multiverse into MSE as well. I'll need dictionaries to translate watermarks and similar from Multiverse style into MSE terminology, and something to do the zipping up on server side.

I'm not getting much time to work on Multiverse these days, but this is a very sensible and relatively low-effort project that I'll make a high priority.

any news on this one alex?

..Yes please :(

would be great to export into MSE for playtesting purposes, the printable templates here are more than workable for it but having things framed properly makes people happier

Try this (experimental) python script I created to create MSE2 files from Magic Multiverse sets

Hey Alex, any update MSE import / export functionality? :)

I have finished building a general CSV to MSE importer! Take any CSV file, tell the importer which columns map to which MSE fields (if you're not using the default names), and it does the rest. View the code and download the executable here: https://github.com/afgaron/CSV2MSE/tree/v0.1.0

Aiming for 95%+ coverage of common use cases, so let me know if there's anything obvious it's missing
