Figured I just do a good old fashioned mashup before going into my uncommon slots. Random Generator gave me Dawntreader Elk and Hedron-Field Purists. Level up isn't going to work for this set, but I tried to instill a bit of its feel here.
What's really odd is that there are no creatures in Magic with "Creature - Deer" in their type box. Just a bunch of elk and antelope and moose... but elk and antelope and moose are all, technically, types of deer. Some zoologist needs to go over Wizards creature list and update it, I'm thinking.
The creature type list is notoriously non-biological. Note also that Great Sable Stag, Glimmerpoint Stag etc have all got type Elk.
I assume the effects are meant to be UEOT?
Oops. UEOT. This is what happens when you copy and paste Magic Card text...
I think you could shorten the text by having it say " If a source would deal damage... this turn..."
True. Updated. Thank You.
