Hole filling, I decided that (((Headcarving))) was just to 'Uncommon-y' for me, so I slipped it in the uncommon slot, to be worked on later. Instead, I repicked Ponder and random generator gave me Nettling Curse. Confound it!

That being said, while the two cards feel similar, this is much more likely to go off, even in a slow grind blue deck. If your opponent is just going to swing with his bear anyway, and you were just going to take the damage, well, now you get a browse. If your flying creature was going to get in there, same deal. But, on occasion, you can turn this into creature kill. At least these events are, in general, more likely to pop up... even if it required a few more words to do it.

At first I thought, why would you play this over Ponder? But the possibility of leading an irritating 1/1 into your Plumeveil is quite sensible.

I like this card. But instants matter in blue makes this unnecessary. Flagged for nest set.
