Strictly better than both Vigilance and Holy Strength. Neither of them are exactly powerhouses, but the standard for a white aura that gives +1/+2 and "something" is 1W.

While true, I've always counted Vigilance as quite a weak ability. Consider the smorgasboard on Triclopean Sight for 1W common.

However, I'd be interested to hear other thoughts.

I would cost this at {1}{w} personally. The power level in the Lorwyn/Shadowmoor 'super block' was quite crazy. So unless the power level of your set is quite high as well, {w} is undercosted. Nice card though.

This is difficult. I don't want to nerf this too much as it really helps sell the not-in-conflict nature of the setting.

On the other hand, I concede that {w} may be too little. What options do I have?

For instance, if I make it +2/+2, can I get away with that at {1}{w}?

I've been concluding actually that the card as is (Holy Strength + Vigilance for {w}) is fine. It's somewhat startling at first, but neither of them was very good, and there's no way this card is going to break anything.

Cool!
