To me this feels like there's two cards mixed together here which isn't really a good when it comes to commons. One that wants you to sac bunch of Food and another which hoses opponent doing the same. Just the first concept of a Food incentivizer gives me the sense that this is more of a build-around uncommon.

The design itself reminds me lot of the reddit post "Fruit of the Gloom", which seems like a solid design to me. I would personally considering adding that card to this set - perhaps with a differing name / flavor text since I don't find those to be its strong suites atm - and credit the creator. Given that there's prolly going to a rather excessive trend towards gaining life, I would also consider altering that design so that it merely gives you the option to just hit the opponent for 3, instead of also additionally gaining 3 life.

Then, if you want some kind of a Food hoser, I would come at it again from somewhat different angle.
