Too tired to think of a name or decide whether this is broken or makes sense. I'll look at this again tomorrow... but feel free to suggest things before then.
Oops. At the very least, I just realized both sides of this need to say "nontoken." Also I have no idea yet when it should transform.
Ooh. The Night side is very cool. I'm not sure the timing of the Day side works: it's modifying the damage event within the resolution of some other spell or ability, including putting tokens onto the field. This might be okay, as it's what Words of Wilding does, but there may be rules complications.
The card as a whole is very interesting. It's quite plausible that either side might get oppressive on its own, but the alternation between them is actually less irritating. The ability to shut down combat could get irritating, but it's only really a universal Circle of Protection, and for 2WWUU that doesn't seem excessive.
Made the tokens slightly bigger; changed Day-side transform trigger; changed wording.
I'm still not 100% certain about the transform triggers, though currently, I do like the flavor of combat happening during the day.
Would it be horrible for the sides to make different tokens? Garruk Relentless pulls that trick at mythic.
Day side: "and redirect that damage to that creature" became "and deal that damage to that creature instead," which became "and that damage is dealt to that creature instead." The first wording is most succinct, of course, but it doesn't really seem proper.
Gave it a proper name
I think it'd be worth trying to keep the tokens the same.
I think there are problems with paying mana in the middle of replacement effects. The first ability might need to read:
> : The next time a source an opponent controls would deal damage to you or a creature you control, put a 0/2 blue Illusion creature token onto the battlefield and that damage is dealt to that creature instead.
I woke up this morning with the intent to change it to that exact wording. That makes it sound like the Circle of Protection wording.
Changed wording on Oath to Daneck; added non-Illusion to prevent loop.
I toned down the power level slightly: made the first side only combat damage and the second side only spells.
