I am not certain how that second ability interacts with a nonartifact creature it is attached to.
The flavor eludes me as well.
The flavor is that your inside a corridor, itself an artifact, begins to assist the whatever artifact entity is chasing you (for versatility purposes, this could be equipped to a nonartifact creature).
I think I tried to word the second ability so that a nonartifact creature that was equipped (flavorwise manipulated or purposed) couldn't with nonartifact creatures to limit this card's power while also keeping with the flavor. If a nonartifact creature that's equipped can't attack, I am okay with that- this set is heavy on artifact creatures, so it shouldn't force someone to only play like they're Exalting/Neon Dynasty Samurai.
