So "(It has that ability and inscribes it on all permanents it is attached to.)" means that if you attach this to an equipment, the equipment then inscribed that ability onto the creature? If I have that right, then that looks much nicer than the text on Rune of Flight.
Just making sure that I'm not missing it, these don't stack, correct? If a Rune of Doom enchants another Rune of Doom and is thus attached to it, then the Rune of Doom that is enchanted by the other Rune of Doom doesn't pass on the ability, since the Rune of Doom that is enchanted is not a creature.

The intention is that the enchanted Rune also passes on the ability. The key is that Rune of Doom inscribes the ability on all permanents it is attached to, so now the enchanted Rune would be inscribed with the triggered ability twice: from its own static ability; once from being enchanted by another Rune with the inscribed ability. The enchanted Rune passes on both instances to any Equipment/creature/Aura etc. it is attached to.

Whether an ability stacks is solely a function of the ability. Triggered abilities generally stack, while many static keyword abilities (flying, first strike, haste etc.) are redundant.

Now only a creature can attack, so only if the root permanent is a creature the ability will actually trigger, but as we know from other effects that change card types "this creature" and "this permanent" are functionally not different, so the "useless" triggered ability can still be on a noncreature permanent.

See Immutability Transfusion for a design where the chained passing on actually matters.

Took me a while to process this. It's quite confusing and I could easily see it being annoying to evaluate how exactly they stack and coalescence into actual results in multiples on a board. Like, if you have inscribing permanent attached on another inscribing permanent which in itself is attached to a regular Equipment for example.

That’s an awesome design.

Lol you can enchant other auras with it for effect, too. I like the new corner case of putting this on a bestow aura and then when the creature dies, your rune is just on the new creature now
