This does somewhat streamline (and boost) what I was going for. The major difference being that this will affect multiple creatures- I'm not sure how the balance for that would be.

For this, the enchantment remains on the battlefield once you've spread the word correct?

Affecting multiple creatures would be, as far as I can tell, strongest with tokens. So maybe putting this on a Saproling can be problematic depending on the format.

I consider this a mechanic that could be vastly differ in effectiveness between Limited and Premier/Standard Constructed, which might be a good thing.

Yep. It becomes a specialized Glorious Anthem.

Not being an Aura means it no longer is affected by the rules for Auras and falls off the creature (actually not 100% certain on the falling off, but since that's intuitively the way it should go, I'd add that to the comprehensive rules otherwise), but does no longer need a creature to stick around.
