In honour of the season here is a card that 'could' possibly see print.
Basically a mashup of Assault Strobe and Giant Growth. Originally had it at but current costing works better.
Oh noes! Season's Beatings (click the link) exists already! For what it's worth, I'd run both of them...
Oh, I like it. It fits the name really well (it's a shame that was used already).
I'm not sure if it's too good. I think putting power-pump and double strike on the same card at instant can easily be broken, but red-green smash probably deserves some love.
For instance, quite a few sets have a turn-1 creature that can attack for 2 somehow, and "turn one Tattermunge Maniac, turn two seasons beatings, attack for 10" is a LOT of damage, as is pairing it with any trample creature, plus it will usually save your creature in combat.
changed it up a bit so that its not quite as crazy.
I must find a way to pay !
Jade Leech + Ruby Leech. If you actually built that deck, I would buy you a whole six-pack of soda. :)
On a separate side note, it's a bit weird for mono-green to get first strike. Would this card be borken if the base ability was Trample?
makes perfect sense GG now gets you +3/+0 & Trample.
Also changed the name slightly.
jmgariepy, you owe me soda: Seasonal Beatings deck.
Haha, that's awesome!
Spectacular. I personally would have gone with a bit more snow, and probably some artifacts to mitigate the Leeches, but that's a solid deck, none the less. Since you have built the deck online, allow me to present a virtual six-pack.
nice choice of virtual six-pack. That stuff is SO hard to get here in Australia
It's common enough in New England, but it's really, really common in Texas. I don't know if it's still the case, but Dr. Pepper used to outsell Coca-Cola down there.
This card seems as good a place as any for me to wish all Multiverse users a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
