That ability isn't a mana ability for some reason. I don't see why.

Is this supposed to be able to add mana to another player's mana pool?

A plow is a fun concept for an Equipment.

1: The ability isn't a mana ability for flavor reasons. 2: I don't know. Can you respond to mana abilities? Would tapping the equipped creature in response to an opponent tapping a land for mana cause an additional mana to be added from that land? If yes, then you could add mana to the opponent's mana pool. If not, this card could not add mana directly to the opponent's mana pool, although you could still target an opponent's land.

> "1: The ability isn't a mana ability for flavor reasons."

Wait... is that supposed to be an effect that lasts? Indefinitely? That's undercost and overpowered for a common, so I assume not.

> "2: I don't know."

Note that my question is for what this is supposed to do, not for what it does. I'm asking for your intentions. Are you certain you don't know your intentions?

> "Can you respond to mana abilities?"

No, but you cannot respond to your own mana abilities either, so do you want to say that this ability is supposed to not work on anything except lands with abilities that add mana, but aren't mana abilities? Are there lands like that? I'd have to do a search. Are there any in this set?

  1. I forgot to add UEOT. I had never intended the effect to last indefinitely.
  2. The intention is that, if you want, you tap the creature so that a land produces an extra mana that can be used to cast a spell, pay for an ability, or whatever that land's controller needs that additional mana for. II didn't include "you control" to target land land, because I didn't think to. Looking at the card, (unless I'm missing something in design), I can't justify including "you control" since the ability is alays optional, if a player really anted to give the benefit to an opponent's land, why should they be prevented from doing so? But I guess, no this is not supposed to be able to add mana to another player's mana pool, since as I stated. Actually, I'm outright confused. You ask what it's supposed to do, but your question comes across as "can this do X"? If you're looking for intention, the ability is based on Fertile Ground-type effects, I just limited the choice of colors to what colors the land could normally produce (I guess miss me with those Wastes, oh ell).

Why not:

Equipped creature has “{t}: Untap target land.”

much simpler
