An Ophidian which flies but you have to pay mana to use; or a Thieving Magpie where one of the mana is deferred from mana cost to each time it hits.

Paying mana during replacement abilities is a bit fiddly rules-wise. I'd suggest wording it as an activated ability like "{u}: The next time ~ would deal combat damage to a player this turn, instead prevent that damage and draw a card."
