Doubling mana seems way more easy to be broken than adding an extra mana, like this is usually templated. I'm thinking of cards like Nykthos that can tap for 5+ mana easily enough

That was kind of the idea, or at least why I didn't restrict the card to targeting basics. Now I'd be willing to adjust the cost on this card to nerf it, should it easily threaten a real format.
