Phelddagrif and Questing Phelddagrif are an awesome concept! But maybe a bit too silly for modern magic sets. Design a card inspired by it. Possibilities include:

  • A homage to Phelddagrif with a different name.
  • A card or mechanic inspired by the flavour, eg. a one two or three colour Phelddagrif pup, Phelddagrif hunter
  • A card that follows adds to an "anagram of a magic designer" cycle with Phelddagrif (maybe un)
  • A cycle of legendary creatures modelled on Phelddagrif replacing the original three-colour cycle
  • A card with a similar idea, but in one or two colours
  • A simpler card that's inspired by one aspect of Phelddagrif, eg. a non-black creature with a drawback of giving something to your opponent
  • A race of Phelddagrif-folk, like Rhox, Loxodon or Leonin.
  • A different creature with multiple drawback-effects
  • An enchantment or planeswalker or something that plays up the different coloured options.

Etc, etc.

Honoured guests, I have the pleasure to announce... Hippodrone
