WU, GW, and GU merge gates

Green, white, and blue are the three colors that most care about controlling the merge gates. WU is a tempo deck that manipulates the state of the gate through passages and cost reduction. GW relies on keeping the gate open and has a lot of the ethereal ability word. GU uses the gate to power out large creatures and spells.

Away from cities, naturally-forming merge gates allow kami free travel between their realm and Utsushiyo.

Whenever a player opens the gate while Great Akaguchi is exiled, you may remove a time counter from it.
Suspend 5 – {u}{g} (Rather than cast this card from your hand, you may pay {u}{g} and exile it with five time counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter. When the last is removed, you may cast it without paying its mana cost. It has haste.)

UB and WB artifice

Blue and black the two colors that reject the traditional beliefs in the kami and focus on artifice. UB is the archetype that leans most into cybernetics (artifact creatures) and the upgrade keyword. WB cares about Vehicles and also uses Pilot tokens.

BR sacrifice

Black and red are the color of ogres and oni, evil spirits. This archetype cares about sacrificing artifacts and creatures for fun and profit.

Create a 3/3 black Demon Spirit creature token. It gains haste until end of turn.
Whenever you sacrifice an artifact or creature, return Vile Summons from your graveyard to your hand.
The second highest honor is holding the ritual dagger. The first highest is receiving it.

Menace
{2}, Sacrifice another artifact or creature: Put a +1/+1 counter on Undercity Monster. It becomes a creature until end of turn.

The illicit mech battles only became more thrilling once contestants began integrating scavenged tech from the Phyrexian Invasion.

RG and UR exile

Red is the color that most cares about casting spells from exile. RG focuses on a straightforward midrange strategy, using suspend to get additional value out of its mana. UR has a number of cards that reward you specifically for casting spells from exile, via suspend or otherwise. The UG deck also benefits from these effects.

Trample
Whenever whenever a creature with power 4 or greater enters under your control while Wildfire Kodama is exiled, you may remove a time counter from Wildfire Kodama.
Suspend 6 – {r/g}{r/g} (Rather than cast this card from your hand, you may pay {r/g}{r/g} and exile it with six time counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter. When the last is removed, you may cast it without paying its mana cost. It has haste.)

Whenever a creature you control dies, you may exile Tanuki Migration from your graveyard and pay {x}. If you do, discover creature X. BG historic

Green is the color of tradition, and black is the color of balancing the past and future. This archetype cares about historic cards, in particular their path from battlefield to graveyard and back.

RW samurai and warriors

Red and white are the main colors of organized samurai. This archetype combines typal synergy for samurai and warriors with the creation of Samurai creature tokens for an aggressive strategy.

Whenever a Samurai or Warrior you control attacks, put a +1/+1 counter on target attacking creature you control with lesser power than it.
