  Exile zone is still a big theme in this set, Excavate is still in the set and so are 0/1 Shabti artifact creatures. Etch is replaced by Fracture to represent the how spells has become unstable and "etching" is no long reliable. Shabti creatures are now becoming conscious and therefore have "Brought to Life" mechanics where they start to feel solidarity for their identify (artifact creatures). Warping lands is a sub-theme in this set, to add to the chaos. Proliferate is a returning mechanic, showcasing the spreading nature of the warping.

  This set is a four-color set. The set is defined by two/three color cards that can be "corrupted" by other mana . It features 5 four color legendary creatures and 5 hybrid two color creatures that has an opposite hybrid color identity and a five color Shabti general.
