On Cruelty's Sacrifice:

Punisher cards are red, plus it lets you get it cheaper. While this could be mono-black, it feels right to be BR

On Cruelty's Sacrifice:

Not sure where red enters into this? Black can do both halves.

On Kythos Divided:

Zombies and Goblins are characteristic races rather than iconic races. Beasts are just very common. I'm not certain whether they call Humans characteristic to white these days or not, but iconic races are the big ones.

The line I quote above is from the set description.

On Kythos Divided:

Maybe I just got lucky; my first booster has two zombies, a hydra, a beast, a goblin (and a goblin sorcery), a human - and an enchantment and sorcery which don't actually NAME angel and mermaid - but clearly have them in the art (and should maybe add some trinket or flavour text)

Buuut looking at the cardlist - yeah, the asfan of iconic races is pretty low at common. So if that's your theme; well, it's not your theme. (Where does it say that this is your theme?)

Art is lovely.

On Kythos Divided:

I really like the illustrations you have assembled, the indiviual card designs at times are great and the mechanics are fine. It's weird though that progress goes down in converted mana cost. Isn't that the opposite of progress?

Let's talk about expectation.

> "5 isolated communities ruled by ironfisted iconics "

Expectation: Cool I get to play with a lot of Dragons, Angels and Demons, probably will find myself a Hydra and Sphinx or two as well.

Reality: Generating six booster packs I have generated one containing an Angel. My seventh try netted me a rare Demon and an uncommon Dragon.

The uncommons of each iconic race are fine and all, but I'd be surprised if the as-fan (expected number of cards seen when opening a booster pack) of all five iconic creature types combined is close to 1. Maybe I was unlucky and it's greater than 0.5, but by how much?

Worse: In the booster packs not containing iconic creatures I don't even get mechanical references and nods to them e. g. Draconic Roar or Defy Death.

If I didn't know the names of the legendary mythic rare iconic creatures I would also have a hard time recognizing the flavor as themed around the big five more often than not.

On Caverns of Thistlewood:

Like, halfway to a gemstone mine, but can make decent mana once its tokens run out?

This feels pretty good to me, but yeah, would have to be a long time in the future when people have forgotten that ETBT triple-lands are a thing.

On Caverns of Thistlewood:

I clicked on this and immediately thought "too much text for a common." Too weak for a higher rarity, and the idea is neat, but I don't think it looks very good

On Sage of Yule:

So I actually have a similar guy in one of my sets, however i had him ping you and an opponent for one whenever he tapped for mana. I think just making tap for red is not enough. This feels green but it doesnt really feel like it should produce red mana.

On Archangel's Lesson:

Fascinating. I like it. I'd certainly throw it straight into my Arbiter of the Ideal deck :)

On Well of Truth:

This might need to cost more.
